Dov Lipman – Founder and CEO

Dov was elected to the 19th Knesset in 2013, making him the first American born MK in 30 years. During his time as an MK, he opened the doors of his office to English-speaking olim and he worked to assist them individually and to advance causes on behalf of the community. Former MK Lipman moved to Bet Shemesh with his wife, Dena, and four children in 2004 and is the author of 8 books about Israel and Judaism. Dov’s experience assisting the olim community with corona travel and other challenges led to his founding of Yad L’Olim.

Asher Altshul – Director of Government Relations

Asher made Aliyah in 1990 at the age of 15. He studied in a Hesder Yeshiva, served in the Golani Brigade and received rabbinic ordination from the Israeli Rabbinate. After completing an MA in Classical Archaeology from the Hebrew University, Asher has worked as a licensed tour guide for the past twenty years and for the past decade he has directed the English Tour Guide course. Asher is married to Anat and lives with their four children in Jerusalem. He is currently a tour operator at a leading tourism company and after years of experience in dealing with local governmental issues, Asher will head Yad L’Olim’s work to make sure municipalities are providing olim with the services they are entitled to.

Deborah Finkelstein – Director of Operations

Deborah has extensive experience working for non-profit organizations. Her work has been focused in the education and charity sectors, most recently for the Lookstein Virtual Jewish Academy, as well as for local organizations supporting new immigrants to Israel. Originally from the UK, Deborah holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Hertfordshire. She made aliyah 12 years ago from London and now lives in Modi’in with her family.

Josh Greenberg – CFO

Josh is an accomplished Finance and Accounting Executive, who has held both Controller and CFO titles, in addition to an early career in public accounting. Josh is a strategic leader with 20+ years of experience, focusing on company growth, leadership and team building within profit and non-profit organizations. Josh is married to Davida and lives in Bergenfield, NJ with his family.

Talya Madmon – Director of Marketing & Communications

Talya is an experienced marketer & project manager with an innovative mind that brings creativity and passion to her work. She has a background in digital marketing, content writing, and developing messaging within the Israeli startup ecosystem. She is skilled at persona and market research – striving to truly understand people’s needs, which comes forth in her marketing. Talya made Aliyah from Portland, Oregon in 2013. She attended Portland State University, where she held the position of Israel Advocacy Coordinator for the Jewish Student Union.

Cherie Albucher – Absorption Specialist

Cherie made aliyah from South Africa at the age of 16. After her army service she worked in marketing until she joined the Modiin Maccabim Reut Municipality Absorption Department as an Aliyah Coordinator. She held that position for close to a decade. Cherie runs a Project Marketing Management agency helping Olim both new and veteran, reach their marketing goals, understand their audiences and opportunities and provide them with tools to succeed in Israel. For the past 15 years she has run Modiin Ladies and volunteered for the TELFED South African Zionist Federation in Modiin.
